7/14/25: 10 Fun Facts About ME!

I thought it would be fun to lighten the mood this week and share 10 fun facts about myself.  Some you might already know, some might be brand new, but here we go!

1.  My husband, Jeremy, and I met at a Ducks Unlimited banquet AND got engaged at one!  We just celebrated 15 years of marriage in June.

2.  I love boys’ names on girls, and both our girls have fun “name” stories.  Ramsey (13) is named after Dave Ramsey, the financial guru who coached us out of debt before we were married. We were a little lost on what to name Merritt (9) when we found out we were having another girl.  We searched long and hard for the perfect name and ended up finding it on a list that popped up on Facebook – “13 Names Inspired by the Walking Dead”

3.  I wanted to be a history teacher when I grew up but was talked out of it.  In retrospect, it was probably for the best – not sure I have the patience that teachers need. 

4.  I spent over 12 years in the Healthcare Administration field.  I worked in A LOT of positions, including – dental assistant, receptionist, coder, supervisor, project manager, and HR.

5.  I have worked with a poker tour for 11 years, dealing cards for the first 8-9 and now do the registration side of it.  I love this job! 

6.  I spent 7+ years in direct sales (MLM), 5+ in leadership prior to becoming a Business Coach.  I joined for a discount and found it hard to leave because the people were amazing.

7.  My favorite foods are noodles (they’re versatile) and steak!  I want to like seafood but the smell and texture is just 🤢  Mushrooms should have their own special place in hell 😆

8.  90’s Country is my jam!  I’ll dip a little into the early 2000’s but won’t listen to hardly any current country.  But, if you listen to my liked list, it has everything from Conway Twitty to Eminem to AC/DC.

9.  Friends is my all-time favorite TV show, Big Bang Theory close behind!  They are watched on a loop at our house.

10.  Harry Potter spent 13 years being my favorite book(s) ever, then I ready ACOTAR in 2024 and fell in love with all things SJM.  IYKYK
